If I wasn't a True North Strong and Free Canadian, I think I would like to be from Michigan....I meet the nicest people from Michigan. My blogger buddy Shelley, and her very astute and outdoorsy husband Greg, who write Building A Log Cabin are from Michigan. As is Jessica, from Through The Viewfinder and Five Pines
Now don't get me wrong, I hear from other great folks too, from around North America, and they are all great, I just happened to notice that Michigan folks seem to be very nice and polite too!
That's why I was pleased and flattered to receive an email from Sarah of the Duck Lake Association in you guessed it, Duck Lake, Clarence Township, Calhoun County, Michigan. Sarah wrote to ask my permission to use some of my post regarding Closing The Cottage in their next Duck Lake Newsletter....wow....I am being quoted in Duck Lake!! I couldn't be happier to oblige....
On another note, happy to report that my wife is still recuperating from her recent brain aneurysm quite well. Still a bit emotional, still experiencing some headaches and blood pressure issues, and a little nervous alone, but otherwise she is doing pretty good. The doctors said this isn't something you get over quickly. Thanks again for all your prayers and well wishes. They really felt good.....
Getting all my ducks in a row!

Yea for Michigan!!
Congrats on being published! You always have great tips/advice for the cottagers and "cabiners".
Glad to hear your wife is improving and hope she gets to enjoy the upcoming glorious fall days!

That's pretty funny... for some reason I thought you WERE from Michigan! My fellow Canuck! And I agree for with your sentiments about Michigonians... Michiganites? Shelley is great!
Sorry, my kitten stepped on the keyboard and I forgot to add that I too am glad to hear your wife is recovering well. :)
