Camping Safety
Those of us who spend time outdoors, around camps and cottages or camping under the stars, are often around fire. Typically campfires and fire from cooking stoves, like propane or other combustible fuel cooking and heating appliances.

Because we are around fires, perhaps more than folks who don’t spend a lot of time in the outdoors, we are at risk for being burned or hurt from the flames. Some of these burns can be quite serious, even life threatening, so it is always a good idea to have a little reminder about fire safety and first aid.
I came across a website with some good basic information about the dangers of campfires and camp cooking, as well as some information about first, second and third degree burns and some first aid information for burn injuries. It’s a good read, short and to the point, a helpful reminder.

Formal First Aid Camping Safety
Of course it goes without saying, anyone who spends time outdoors should have formal first aid training and carry a first aid kit like this The Complete First Aid Kit (Includes Save-A-Tooth) Exceeds ANSI Standards, 100% Made in USA, Ships Free
Everyone that goes camping or to the cottage should have a first aid kit and know how to use it, as well as practice safety camping.
