Ya know….I love to eat. Especially at the cottage in summer when the fresh air and extra activity helps to create a big appetite. Of course being at the camp means we barbecue quite a bit and it’s summer so we can experiment a bit and try some different table fare. While some might say I am a “meat and potatoes man” that is not quite true. I do like to dabble a little bit into some other stuff and I try to be open to new things….(Ha Ha…if Wendy reads this she is going to wonder who wrote it)
Considering my recent penchant for trying new things, I am thinking about starting the day with some Blueberry Muffins and perhaps some Scandinavian Pancakes for breakfast. Then for lunch, perhaps some Grilled Peaches on Vanilla Ice Cream, maybe some Grilled Corn-On-The-Cob. How about a nice serving of Pork Tenderloin With Spicy Cherry Barbecue Sauce and some Tomato Avacado and Red Onion Salad. And for dessert, I am thinking Melon Hollows with Ice Cream or Sorbet. Licking my lips now.
And the best part is we can wash it all down with Strawberry Rhubarb Champagne or perhaps a glass of Up North Moscow Mule.
For a snack round the campfire later at night, instead of roasting marshmallows, let’s have some of Gus’s Mom’s Dilly Beans and some Sweet Apple Salsa…yum…yum!!
Awww this is all making me hungry, sounds a little more interesting than one of my personal favorite recipes I enthusiastically call, Hot Dogs On A Stick.
